FAQ
What is the difference between single network and dual network A Slot modules?
Single network A Slot modules provide one audio network interface, while dual network modules combine two networking technologies in one card, such as Dante-to-Milan or Dante-to-RAVENNA. Dual network modules are ideal for bridging different audio ecosystems and supporting hybrid workflows.
Which DIRECTOUT devices support A Slot modules?
A Slot modules are supported across several DIRECTOUT smart audio platforms, including PRODIGY.MP, PRODIGY.MX, PRODIGY.MC, and MAVEN.A. The number of available A Slots varies by hardware model.
What is the purpose of SRC in DIRECTOUT module names?
SRC stands for Sample Rate Conversion. Modules with SRC functionality include integrated high-definition sample rate conversion, enabling stable interoperability between devices running on different clock domains or sample rates.
What is the maximum channel count for A Slot modules?
Depending on the module type, A Slot modules can support up to 256 audio channels. Certain high-capacity modules, such as MADI4.IO and RAVENNA modules with optional licensing, offer expanded channel capabilities.
Which audio networking protocols are supported by DIRECTOUT A Slot modules?
DIRECTOUT A Slot modules support major professional audio networking standards including Dante, RAVENNA, AES67, ST 2110, Milan/AVB, and SoundGrid. This flexibility enables seamless integration into modern IP-based audio infrastructures.
